One thing that really irks me, is the SPLC, known for doing great working combatting violence from the KKK and other white supremacist organizations through litigition, completely ignores this group, and it's recent relationship with Border Angels. Enrique Morones, head of Border Angels, is a prominent activist that does among other things, hold press conferences, and places water on the border for would-be crossers. He's been on Fox News and CNN, among others. He's always passed himself off as merely a humanitarian who wants an end to the deaths on the border, and a change in immigration policy. But that seemed to take a nosedive a few years back when he confronted Lou Dobbs in San Diego, along with members of Mexica Movement. Since then, he has held conferences with the group, and just recently has given cards (pictured above) to them to pass to would-be border crossers. Coming up soon, he's speaking at one of the groups lectures. I plan on being there, along with a video camera.
